Report: Geelong coach Chris Scott forgoes entire salary during lockout period

2020-03-24T13:25+11:00

Geelong coach Chris Scott has sacrificed his entire paycheck during the AFL lockdown period, according to the Herald Sun.

They are reporting that Scott will continue to work across the two-month lockdown, but will forgo any payment, helping the club save some money.

Up to 80 per cent of Geelong’s staff, including the football department and assistant coaches, have been stood down without pay for this period of time.

The report suggests Scott did not wish to be paid while others were missing out.

All 18 AFL senior coaches volunteered to take a minimum of 20 per cent pay cuts as part of battling the coronavirus crisis.
