We’re looking back at some of the greatest marks taken in footy history.
Back in 2011, Andrew Walker took what might go down as the best mark to not win Mark of the Year.
In Round 18 against Essendon, the Carlton forward jumped clean onto the shoulders of Jake Carlisle without using his hands to take a chest mark in the night’s sky.
The ball came from a high Mitch Robinson bomb and Walker, who already had three goals to his name, took the hanger and proceeded to slot his fourth.
Carlton smashed Essendon by 74 points on the MCG, with Eddie Betts also booting eight goals.
However, it was Walker’s mark that stole the show, even if it – somehow – didn’t win Mark of the Year.
