Former St Kilda forward Arryn Siposs has been contacted by the Detroit Lions ahead of the NFL Draft.
Siposs has the caught the attention of the Lions after impressing as a punter in his two-year stint at American college Auburn.
The 27-year-old told AAP the call from Detroit GM Bob Quinn came “completely came out of the blue”.
“A voice said, ‘Hi, it’s Bob Quinn, general manager of the Detroit Lions’”, the ex-Saint said.
“The call completely came out of the blue. I was like, ‘OK, that’s pretty cool’.
“We had a good conversation. He wanted to say hello and tell me what they wanted to do and their situation.”
The Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets have also reportedly made contact with Siposs, who played 28 games for St Kilda between 2011 and 2015.
The 2020 NFL Draft begins on Friday and concludes Sunday AEST.
