Crocmedia ramps up WA presence

Australia’s leading sports content creator – Crocmedia will ramp-up its presence in Western Australia with the acquisition of Spirit 621AM in Southwest/Bunbury, as well the recently launched SENTrack on 657AM in Perth.

Chief Executive Officer, Craig Hutchison said he was excited to offer listeners greater choice.

“We’re absolutely honoured to take on Spirit 621 in Bunbury – a vibrant central hub in WA’s stunning South West. Listeners will already be familiar with our Sportsday WA and Off The Bench shows broadcast on Spirit and we look forward to stepping locals through our additional content offering in the coming months.”

Crocmedia also launched SENTrack in Perth on 657AM last month – the first of several SENTrack stations to launch around the country including Melbourne 1377AM, Wollongong 1575AM, Gosford 801AM, Ingham 96.9FM and Atherton 99.1FM.

SENTrack 1053AM Brisbane and SENTrack 1620AM Gold Coast will commence broadcasting on 7th September. It can also be heard via the SEN app.

SENTrack is Australia’s first independent racing, harness and greyhound radio racing service, offering racing fans previews, analysis, insights and reviews of key races across the country.

In Perth, listeners can hear acclaimed sports broadcaster Gerard Whateley in the breakfast slot 7-9am Mondays to Thursdays, followed by live audio coverage of selected racing, harness and greyhound races from around the country each day.

In 2017, Crocmedia signed a five-year partnership as the official radio partner of Optus Stadium, signalling its aspiration to become part of the WA sporting fabric.

Crocmedia has been playing its part of the sporting landscape in WA for years, producing unique stand-alone programs including Sportsday WA on 6PR and Spirit and Radio West in Regional WA. The Karl Langdon and Paul Hasleby-hosted show connects listeners with news, views and opinions from the world of sport through a local lens.

Crocmedia’s successful Footy WA show on Channel 9, hosted by Scott Watters, also engages fans with the latest from the AFL, WAFL and other local WA leagues.
