West Coast is reportedly looking to relocate to the Gold Coast for the early part of the season.
According to AFL.com.au’s Mitch Cleary, the Eagles are “investigating” moving its entire football department to the Gold Coast to train and play once the season resumes.
It comes after WA premier Mark McGowan refused to relax the state’s tight border restrictions where visitors must self-isolate for 14 days from arrival.
Victoria has also been mooted as a potential relocation destination for both WA clubs.
Gold Coast coach Stuart Dew and CEO Mark Evans have both endorsed the prospect of a Queensland-based player hub.
