Day one returning to footy training was supposed to be a joyous occasion for the players.
Unfortunately for Port Adelaide veteran Robbie Gray, he has a suspected broken toe after dropping a weight on his foot.
Kane Cornes told SEN SA Breakfast the news this morning.
Port Adelaide CEO Keith Thomas confirmed the incident, but isn’t too concerned.
“Robbie (Gray) dropped a weight on his toe. We think it’s broken but he’ll be fine for Round 2. He’ll be back today running on the anti-gravity machine,” Thomas told SEN SA Breakfast.
The 32-year-old has played 219 career games for Port and has played at least 19 in every season since 2013.
