Richmond coach Damien Hardwick declared the 2020 premiership will be one of the greatest ever won – and GWS counterpart Leon Cameron agrees.
The Giants are looking to banish the demons from their humiliating 89-point Grand Final loss to the Tigers and Cameron revealed Hardwick’s message has reverberated within the club.
“Yes absolutely, I’ve got no doubt (it will be one of the greatest flags). I think all coaches will be in the same boat,” Cameron told SEN Breakfast.
“I heard Dimma (Hardwick) say that and I’m not going to shy away – we’ve said that to our footy club and to our players this week.
“The side that wins the flag this year is going to be clearly the best team in terms of on the field, but the most disciplined off the field.
“It’ll be a magnificent achievement because of all the challenges, obstacles, hurdles you’ve got to get over.”
Round 2 will reportedly restart with Richmond taking on Collingwood on June 11 with the first block of fixtures to be released in the coming days.
