Collingwood veteran Ben Reid will not be available for Round 2 because of a hamstring injury.
According to SEN’s chief sports reporter Sam Edmund, Reid suffered a “hamstring hiccup” and won’t be risked given his history with soft tissue injuries.
Entering his 14th season, the 31-year-old premiership player has played 150 games in the black and white.
Star Magpies midfielder Adam Treloar remains a major doubt for the June 11 clash against Richmond with a hamstring problem.
Treloar didn't play in the Round 1 win over the Western Bulldogs and suffered a setback while training in isolation last month.
Unfortunate news for Collingwood big man Ben Reid, who has suffered a hamstring hiccup. Pies will back his training off & he won't be available for Round 2, but given his history the club will be very conservative. Injuries keep coming across the comp as players play catch-up.
