The latest on injured Blues forward Curnow

2020-06-30T11:20+10:00

Carlton midfielder Ed Curnow says his brother Charlie is taking time away from the club as he continues to work his way back from injury.

Curnow suffered a setback in April in his recovery from a serious knee injury, which eventually saw the Blues rule him out for the remainder of the 2020 season.

The 22-year-old forward had surgery in October last year to repair the injury, having screws inserted into his patella to help aid his return.

“He’s going well,” Curnow told SEN Breakfast.

“He’s rehabbing … I’m sure missing (footy) at the moment and not being out there.

“He’s actually taking a bit of time away from the club which I think is a great thing and doing a bit of work.

“He can’t be at the club given the stringent protocols but I think it’s a great move for him to do something else at the moment and run his program from him.”

Blues veteran Curnow has played all four games this season and had 20 touches during Carlton’s one-point win over Essendon on Saturday night.
