Report: Explosive new details from Crows camp revealed

Explosive new details from Adelaide’s infamous pre-season training camp on the Gold Coast in 2018 have emerged.

A report from The Age’s Sam McClure has revealed that Crows players were tied to trees and attacked with deeply personal abuse in order to “free themselves of their deepest fears”.

One player told The Sunday Age: “There’s no doubt that private and personal information was used without our consent.”

Prop guns and combat knives were used during the camp run by Queensland-based consultancy group Collective Mind that according to one player tore the bond between the players and the club apart.

The report states that forward Tom Lynch fainted during a focus exercise with concerned teammates rushing to his aid. Lynch was told to “get up” by a camp leader and was later lying in bed vomiting.

The camp left certain players feeling "petrified" and has contributed to Adelaide’s downfall since losing the 2017 Grand Final.

Eight players have since left the Crows while former coach Don Pyke, Head of Football Brett Burton and assistant coach Scott Camporeale all departed last year.
