Terry Wallace says West Coast should continue playing young forward Oscar Allen.
Allen returned to the senior side against Sydney in Round 5 and booted three goals in the Eagles’ much-needed 34-point win.
The 21-year-old is the long-term successor to champion West Coast forward Josh Kennedy with the veteran now in the twilight of his stellar career.
“Tell them (West Coast) never, ever to drop Oscar Allen again,” Wallace told SEN’s The Match Committee.
“Oscar Allen is a serious player and will be a serious player in this competition. He’s a kid, he’ll have a few ups and downs – just keep playing him the whole way through.
“He is going to be a really good player. He is a real talent for them.”
Allen, the 21st pick overall in the 2017 draft, kicked 20 goals and averaged 3.5 marks per match in 2019.
Eagles coach Adam Simpson has made two changes for Saturday’s clash with Adelaide, bringing in Brayden Ainsworth and Jarrod Cameron to replace injured duo Luke Shuey and Jamaine Jones.
