Racing on Saturday at Gawler. The rail (normal) is in the same position as the last meeting (17/6/2020). The track played fairly last meeting. Currently the track is rated a soft 6 but rain is forecast.

Pretty even bunch here. Hoping that Pandeia backs up from last Sunday as it should ensure a good pace. Icecrusher just 1st pick. I have it $5. Thought Australian Design was a chance. Good winner for the new trainer at Strathalbyn then happy to forget its last run where it raced too keenly and covered ground over 1300m.

Tipping Getoutoftheway here. Did my $ on it last Saturday but it was slow away and settled back in a race dominated by the on-pacers and didn't have a lot of luck. Barrier suits,distance suits,track suits. Of the others... Happy to risk Call Me Shamus. Thought Classy Joe would roll forward and probably settle handy and Just Rolling returned to form last start for Sue Jaensch and is the other main hope.

Race 8
The riding engagement of Jess Eaton sees Classy Jaybee get in 4kg over the minimum. Good chance to find the front and be hard to beat. The Natural has opened up favourite but think its far too short. Air Marshal was a bit plain last start and think Silver Lining is better suited over a shorter trip. Drawn a bit awkwardly but has a chance.

Doesn't look to be a lot of pace here. Beeokay probably rolls forward. Akkacan might also be closer then normal stepping up to 1200m. Todd Pannell goes on Sunmate. Might not get as far back as normal and thought 1st pick. It was a bit disappointing last start on the Heavy 8 when T Voorham rode. Its previous form on rain affected tracks is good. Oh Mo 2nd pick. Was probably unlucky last start. Not sure if barrier 1 is any plus. Call me Dexter looks to have some upside and a chance. If Pivotal Force gets a run think it also has a good chance.
