2020-07-12T18:15+10:00

St Kilda's Ben Long could face a long stretch on the sidelines after being sent directly to the tribunal for his hit on Fremantle ruckman Sean Darcy.

Long's high bump in the second quarter, which saw Darcy miss the remainder of the clash on Saturday due to concussion, was graded as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact.

Essendon's Dylan Shiel also faces time on the sidelines after being handed a two-week ban for a late bump on North Melbourne youngster Curtis Taylor, which forced him from the field.

That incident was graded by MRO Michael Christian as careless conduct, high impact and high contact.

In other incidents assessed from Saturday's matches, Rowan Marshall (St Kilda) and Brad Crouch (Adelaide) were both fined $1000 and $500 respectively.
