"This is un-AFL level": Dal Santo disappointed by Crows

2020-08-01T17:40+10:00

Three-time All Australian Nick Dal Santo says Adelaide's performance against North Melbourne was nowhere near the AFL-standard required.

During the AFL Nation call of the game, Dal Santo said his former side North Melbourne had it all too easy.

“They’re coming through threatening positions, these balls aren’t coming wide for the Kangas, they’re coming straight through traditional half-forward," he said.

“Guys at this level don’t need any space at all, let alone when you give them five or ten metres to be able to pick and choose exactly which player you want."

The 322-gamer said the Crows looked inept against a side that were only one-place above them on the AFL ladder.

“This is un-AFL level - the inability to stop the opposition running the ball exactly where they want."

The 69-point loss extended the longest losing streak in Adelaide club history, stretching back to round 21 of the 2019 season.
