GWS Giants star forward Toby Greene finished Sunday afternoon’s clash against Gold Coast on the bench after injuring his right hamstring in the first quarter.
Greene pulled up after chasing after the footy in open play and immediately left the ground for treatment.
With multiple games coming up in short succession for all clubs, the Giants weren’t willing to take any risks with one of their most prized assets.
"He looked like he was in for a big afternoon, it's a big out for the Giants,” Bob Murphy said on AFL Nation.
Toby Greene will take no further part in the game due to a right hamstring injury.
