Racing analyst and good friend of SEN Track, Jarred Magnabosco, has assessed the meetings at Cranbourne and Canterbury today and provided his best bets.

CRANBOURNE
Race 4
Very keen on LAKE’S FOLLY here who looks a very progressive type and comes here off a month freshen-up after being a moral beaten last start.
Apprentice Tayla Childs gave REINE HAPPY a sneaky lead & ultimately had too much ground, falling in from the Freedman gelding.
Get’s in really well at the weights today, supported in early betting & I would be very surprised if he wasn’t winning here.
My Numbers: 6-2-4-1
Race 5
Have to stick with LUNAR FLARE again as Ollie looks to make it 3 in a row aboard the Grahame Begg-trained Fiorente mare.
She showed a nice turn of foot in the concluding stages to be too good for her rivals in a very similar grade race here at the track a fortnight ago & despite giving AUSTRIA 2kg today, I think she’s still the one to beat.
My Numbers: 2-8-7-9
Race 7
Progressive Brazen Beau gelding ZENDE resumes first up today off 2 nice jump outs & I think the stable have found a really nice race to kick start his campaign.
He won very strongly 1st-up last prep at Geelong by over 2 lengths, stretching out late to show he had a fair bit of natural ability. He then backed that up with a strong performance down the straight Flemington when he looked the winner, only to be narrowly beaten off by CHASSIS who has since shown above average ability, with a big gap back to 3rd.
He gets in very well at the weights; I think he’s the best horse in the race & all things going well, looks very hard to beat.
My Numbers: 9-6-3-11
CANTERBURY
Race 1
I’m not normally one to dive into a Japanese bred horse on the Heavy rain affected tracks, but I think SOLAR APEX is the clear class runner here & showed a really nice turn of foot on debut to suggest he’s going to be very hard to beat at his next start.
The Deep Impact colt has drawn the outside of the 7 runners, so it does make his job a little more difficult at Canterbury, but I don’t see much depth here & all things going well, he should win on class with a good ride from J-MAC.
The one who gets in really well at the weights & could pinch a winning lead with gun hoop Glen Boss aboard is the David Payne trained DESERT FLAME.
She’ll go forward, is rock hard fit & gets in well at the weights so worth a small saver.
My Numbers: 2-6-3-1
Race 3
BAROSSA ROSA is a very speedy type & just found one sharper on debut in YANGARRA ROSE. She strips fitter today, will go forward and take a stack of beating.
The other runner worth a small investment is the son of CATKINS in CAT D’ORO who hardly got a look at them on debut behind what looks a smart one in YARDSTICK.
He strips fitter today, gets J-MAC in the saddle & has been very well supported in early betting. Looks likely to improve off his debut run and can settle in the 3rd pair.
My Numbers: 7-2-4-5
