“Having a quick durry”: Why Mrs Ruscoe missed son Trey’s debut goal

2020-08-07T09:11+10:00

Fiona Ruscoe went viral after her hilarious response to her son Trey’s call regarding his impending Collingwood debut.

The video the Magpies posted of Trey informing Fiona of his first AFL game was brilliant.

Ruscoe, 18, stepped out for his debut as the Magpies edged Sydney by nine points at the Gabba on Thursday night.

To celebrate, Fiona watched the game with friends back home in Western Australia, but unfortunately missed Trey’s first goal.

The reason why?

A quick cigarette out the back.

“I was just having a little smoke,” Fiona revealed to Garry and Tim on SEN Breakfast.

“I’m trying to give up so I was just having a quick durry out the back. Don’t tell Trey!

“But there’s that many videos of it. I won’t miss it will I?”

Trey would end up with 1.3 from seven disposals to celebrate a debut victory in the black and white.
