Will the Titans sign Moses Mbye? Justin Holbrook weighs in

2020-08-13T13:55+10:00

Gold Coast Titans coach Justin Holbrook doesn’t think the club will sign Wests Tigers captain Moses Mbye.

The Titans have reportedly been interested in securing the Queensland State of Origin star but Holbrook says he’s more focused on the players they do have secured for 2021, headlined by the recent acquisition of Brisbane’s David Fifita.

“I don’t think that’ll happen,” Holbrook said on SEN NSW Breakfast with Joel and Jimmy when asked about the club’s pursuit of Mbye.

“With the guys that are confirmed, it’s really exciting for our club and where we want to go.

“In terms of are we done yet, the recruitment thing is a daily rotation and you never know when you’re going to be – all of a sudden someone wants one of your players and then we’re looking at who we can get in return.

“It’s an ongoing thing but in terms of where we’re at, we’re really happy with those coming into the club and we’ve got some young guys in the squad and also the squad is playing well so it’s pretty exciting for us that’s for sure.”

Gold Coast remain in the bottom four of the NRL ladder, winning just four from 13 games this season.
