Victorian clubs expressing interest in free agent Crow

2020-08-25T13:20+10:00

Adelaide defender Kyle Hartigan has emerged as a free agency target for rival clubs.

Hartigan is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and won rave reviews for his job on a red-hot Tom Hawkins in the Crows’ loss to Geelong on Sunday.

It’s understood the 28-year-old stopper is chasing a two-year deal to stay at the Crows, but similar to former teammate Cam Ellis-Yolmen 12 months ago, the rebuilding club is only prepared to offer one.

It has opened the window for Hartigan to pursue a move back to Victoria where he was overlooked in multiple national and rookie drafts before Adelaide took a chance on him in 2012.

It’s understood a handful of Victorian clubs have expressed interest in Hartigan in the wake of his game against the Cats.

Hartigan has played 109 games for Adelaide, including the 2017 Grand Final loss to Richmond.
