The AFL has announced the fixture for week one of the finals, following the conclusion of the home and away season on Monday night.
This year’s finals series will get underway on Thursday October 1, with Port Adelaide taking on Geelong at Adelaide Oval.
West Coast will take on Collingwood at Optus Stadium on October 3, with the Pies set to fly out to Western Australia on Friday to undertake a seven-day quarantine period.
AFL fixtures boss Travis Auld confirmed St Kilda's request to play at The Gabba rather than Adelaide Oval was taken into consideration as they finished higher than the Western Bulldogs on the ladder.
