St Kilda has shown interest in out-of-contract North Melbourne forward Ben Brown, according to AFL reporter Damian Barrett.
The Kangaroos confirmed they will entertain a trade for Brown as they look to rebuild their list following a disastrous 17th-place finish in 2020.
The 27-year-old kicked over 60 goals in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and is sure to garner suitors who are in need of a key forward during the trade period.
Barrett understands the Saints have held talks with Brown’s management.
“He (Brown) will seek a new home and I believe it will be a team in the finals,” Barrett told Channel Nine’s Sunday Footy Show.
“I know St Kilda has enquired.
“I don’t know how deep those conversations have gone, but they have been had between his management and that particular club.
“They are a keen observer given the protection that they still feel that Max King needs in the early stage of his career.”
Injuries restricted Brown to just nine games this season.
