Report: Third club flags interest in Hawks free agent

2020-10-16T10:11+11:00

Geelong has entered the race to sign Hawthorn veteran Isaac Smith, according to Fox Footy’s Tom Morris.

It’s understood the Cats have offered Smith a two-year deal with the unrestricted free agent also weighing up offers from the Hawks and Melbourne.

Player manager Liam Pickering says his client has “got a decision to make” with the Demons “in the mix” to secure the 31-year-old’s signature.

The tripe-premiership wingman is one of several names linked with a move to Geelong this off-season.

Jeremy Cameron, Brad Crouch and Shaun Higgins are all on the Cats’ radar approaching the trade and free agency period.

Smith, 31, was restricted to 10 games in 2020 due to a shoulder injury, taking his career tally to 210 across 10 seasons in the brown and gold.
