Adelaide makes decision on whether to match Crouch offer

2020-11-04T17:00+11:00

Adelaide has opted not to match St Kilda’s bid for free agent Brad Crouch, paving the way for him to become a Saint immediately.

The Crows will receive a second-round selection as compensation, which is currently pick 23.

The decision came down to the wire, with the club only making the call with hours left of their Wednesday deadline after St Kilda submitted their offer on Friday.

As reported by SEN Chief Sports Reporter Sam Edmund on Monday, Adelaide weren’t given a first-round pick as compensation because of the Saints’ incentive and trigger-laden contract offer to Crouch.

The midfielder is expected to earn over $700,000 per season at St Kilda.
