Lloyd's mail on two St Kilda trade targets

2020-11-06T10:50+11:00

St Kilda may have already secured free agents Brad Crouch and Shaun McKernan ahead of the 2021 season, but they aren’t done yet according to Matthew Lloyd’s insider.

The Saints, who were extremely active in last year’s trade period, have again taken an aggressive approach to the off-season this year by already signing Crouch and delisted free agent Shaun McKernan.

According to Lloyd’s source, St Kilda remain interested in prising Adam Treloar out of Collingwood.

“St Kilda has a few balls in the air here,” he said on AFL Trade Radio’s Early Trade.

“Even though they have Brad Crouch, Simon Lethlean’s comments on SEN Breakfast showed the respect they have for Adam Treloar.

“My St Kilda man says that they still haven’t closed the book on trying to get Adam Treloar to the football club.

“They just really rate him.”

St Kilda is also circling Richmond’s Jack Higgins as the look to bolster their small forward stocks.

Despite the Tigers wanting to hold Higgins to the final year of his contract, Lloyd’s belief is the Saints haven’t given up in their pursuit of the 21-year-old.

“We also heard the Richmond list boss talk about Jack Higgins and he’ll be playing (at the Tigers in 2021)," he said.

“My St Kilda man also says that the club hasn’t (given up hope) on that one either.

“They would still like to have Jack Higgins playing at the St Kilda Football Club next year.”
