Cornes lists his top five most watchable players in the AFL

Port Adelaide champion Kane Cornes has listed his top five most watchable players in the AFL.

Cornes discussed who the most watchable players in the game are right now on AFL Trade Radio’s The Early Trade.

“Are there still as many watchable players in the game as what there once were?” Cornes asked.

“I think we both know the answer to that, and that is no. But there’s still some good ones.

“I’ve come up with a list of the most watchable players in the game right now.”

Below are Cornes’ top five most watchable players:

5. Toby Greene (GWS)

"If I’m at the footy and watching live you’ve always got an eye on who’s picking up Toby Greene.

"Is he fighting someone? Is he going to karate kick someone? Is he going to sit on someone’s head? Is he going to kick a freak goal?

"Great player and very watchable."

4. Charlie Cameron (Brisbane)

"I think he’s electric and when the footy’s in Charlie Cameron’s area usually something happens.

"Now does he do it all the time? No. But is there the prospect of something amazing happening when Charlie Cameron goes near the ball? Yes.

"I love watching him."

3. Dustin Martin (Richmond)

"Could’ve been No.1 but I don’t think he has as many highlights as what we think.

"I know he kicked the goal of the year in the Grand Final but a lot of what Dusty does is winning the ball in tight.

"I don’t think there’s any high-flying moments but certainly watchable and the biggest star in the game right now.

"He’s worthy of being in this list."

2. Jeremy Howe (Collingwood)

"I love Jeremy Howe and I think he has the ability to do in this game what not many people have the ability to do.

"He does it every second week."

1. Liam Ryan (West Coast)

"Liam Ryan is the most watchable player for me right now in the game.

"I think he's now more than just a highlights reel. I think he is now – and rightly recognised as an All-Australian – a genuine star of the game.

"(He can) sit on someone’s head or come up the ground and get the ball outside 50 and pinpoint a really difficult pass inside 50, he can kick freak goals.

"Liam Ryan for me right now is the most watchable player in the game."
