Report: Blues put a timeframe on Charlie Curnow's return to training

2020-11-18T12:50+11:00

Charlie Curnow is expected to be back in action in March following his latest knee setback.

AFL Media’s Riley Beveridge is reporting that the key forward underwent successful surgery following the latest stress issue in the knee last Wednesday.

The Blues hope Curnow will be back running after Christmas, but they will once again play it cautiously with the young star.

The 23-year-old was training the house down up in the Queensland hub in the last few weeks of the season, but fractured his kneecap while kicking the football with brother Ed Curnow earlier in the month.

Charlie Curnow missed the last eight games of the 2019 season and then sat out the entirety of 2020 as reoccurring knee issues continued to plague him.

This latest setback puts him in significant doubt for a Round 1 return.
