New West Coast recruit accidentally breaks COVID protocols

2020-11-21T14:48+11:00

New West Coast recruit Zac Langdon has inadvertently broken West Australia’s strict COVID biosecurity protocols, with the club forced to apologise for the breach.

After sealing a move to the Eagles in the recently-completed trade period, the club organised for a treadmill to be delivered to the property where the small forward was completing 14 days of home quarantine.

An external delivery company carried the treadmill through the house, breaking his quarantine requirements.

“The treadmill was unfortunately carried through (Zac) Langdon’s residence to an outdoor patio area by the delivery company,” a West Coast statement read.

“Langdon has subsequently been tested and found to be COVID-free. The delivery personnel also isolated, but were cleared to resume work.”

Langdon, 25, played 31 games in three seasons for the Giants before being traded to West Coast in exchange for pick 54.
