Former AFL recruiter Matt Rendell has delivered his assessments of each of the 18 clubs and their performances in the recent Trade Period.
The Eagles sneakily added Zac Langdon and Alex Witherden at minimal cost, while getting overs for ruckman Tom Hickey.
See Rendell's Tyrepower Trade Grade for the Eagles below:
Trade Grade: B-
Rendell says:
Under the radar during the trade period. They lost Hickey, who has a ready replacement in Bailey Williams, so good move by Hickey. Brought in Langdon as a small forward because it doesn’t look like Rioli will be playing in 2021 and Ryan playing more up the ground. Witherden is a good replacement for Hurn but he has to get back to his best. Two ideal players to fill holes and also future picks next year but not much of a player in the draft this year.
Ins:
Zac Langdon (from GWS)
Alex Witherden (from Brisbane)
Outs:
Tom Hickey (to Sydney)
