Rendell’s Trade Grades - Brisbane

2020-11-22T12:05+11:00

Former AFL recruiter Matt Rendell has delivered his assessments of each of the 18 clubs and their performances in the recent Trade Period.

The Lions got their men in the trade period, bringing in high-risk, high-reward players in Joe Daniher and Nakia Cockatoo.

See Rendell's Tyrepower Trade Grade for the Lions below:

Trade Grade: A

Rendell says:

Rated the Lions an A, but with question marks because if Daniher and Cockatoo can play their best football they would be A+++ and easily dominated this period. Two high class players coming off long term injuries and cost them virtually nothing. Rest of the trade period was swapping draft selections, mainly with Melbourne, ended up with later picks in this draft and quite a few future selections into next years outstanding draft. Have some Academy players this year, so have them covered. Excellent trade period for them.

Ins:
Joe Daniher (from Essendon)
Nakia Cockatoo (from Geelong)

Outs:
Stefan Martin (to Western Bulldogs)
Alex Witherden (to West Coast)

2020 draft hand:
25, 53, 58, 63, 68, 69, 94

2020 season performance:
Wins: 14
Losses: 3
Position: 2nd (lost Prelim)
