Former AFL recruiter Matt Rendell has delivered his assessments of each of the 18 clubs and their performances in the recent Trade Period.
It was another successful trade period for St Kilda who again landed some quality players from other clubs to strengthen an improving list.
See Rendell's Tyrepower Trade Grade for the Saints below:
Trade Grade: A-
Rendell says:
Brad Crouch is the key here because he has cost them nothing, hasn’t been overpaid and at his best he is a super player who could take them to the next level.
Jack Higgins suits the brand of football very well, which is starting to mirror Richmond’s and they got him cheap as well.
Shaun McKernan is a handy back-up to Rowan Marshall and Paddy Ryder, while Marshall can play key defence as well.
Beautiful top-ups and would have received an A had they been able to offload some players who couldn’t make their team last year in Jimmy Webster and Luke Dunstan.
Rating is based on Crouch being his best at no cost.
