Carlton veteran Eddie Betts has suffered an early pre-season setback, injuring his calf at training on Thursday.
According to the club, the small forward will be sidelined for two weeks after scans revealed a low-grade calf strain he picked up in the first week of training after the Christmas break.
The 34-year-old made his Carlton comeback in 2020 after six seasons at Adelaide, playing 15 games for the Blues and kicking 13 goals.
He recently signed a new one-year deal through to the end of the 2021 season.
