Nick Kyrgios has slammed Novak Djokovic after the world No.1 asked for special treatment while in quarantine prior to the Australian Open.
Djokovic issued a list of demands to Tennis Australia boss Craig Tiley which included better food, permission to visit his coach and less days in isolation.
The Serbian’s requests were rejected by Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews which promoted a response from Kyrgios on social media.
"Djokovic is a tool," Kyrgios tweeted.
Djokovic tested positive to COVID-19 in June last year after he organised the controversial Adria Tour exhibition tournament.
Kyrgios also took aim at Bernard Tomic’s girlfriend Vanessa Sierra following her complaints about being in lockdown.
"I don’t mind Bernie but his Mrs obviously has no perspective, ridiculous scenes," Kyrgios wrote.
72 players are currently in hard lockdown for 14 days after five passengers on overseas flights to Melbourne tested positive to COVID-19.
The Australian Open gets underway on February 8.
