Acrobat out of Inglis Millennium

2021-01-19T11:45+11:00

Arcobat has been scratched from the Inglis Millennium.

The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained Fastnet Rock colt has a superficial cut to a hind leg and will not race in the $2 million two-year-old race over 1100 metres at Randwick on February 6.

Eustace explained on SEN Track’s Bensley why the pre-race favourite is out.

“Acrobat had a bit of a setback with a superficial injury which is just frustrating more than anything else,” he said.

“It’s not something that is going to hold her up too much. It’s just a timing thing really.”

Acrobat impressively won the Inglis Nursery by 2.3 lengths on debut at Randwick on December 12.

He is expected to be fit for both the Blue Diamond and Golden Slipper.

Despite the setback, the stable will still be represented by Sneaky Five, who is two wins from two career starts, and Nice For What in the Millennium.

“The two fillies would have really strong claims,” he added.

“Sneaky Five has shown she’s a good horse and so has Nice For What without winning.

“She worked well this morning and we’ll head up to Sydney towards the end of the week.”
