The full schedule and grids have been released for the Boost Mobile Race Tasmania event which sees the start of the 2021 Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series - the first time for the category since the abandonment of last year's championship following the cancellation of the 2020 Formula One Australian Grand Prix.
The event also marks the beginning of the season for the Trans-Am and Touring Car Masters categories which were both supports at last year's Superloop Adelaide 500 before the COVID-19 pandemic put a halt to all Australian Racing Group managed motorsport competitions.
Hosts of The Driver's Seat Matthew MacKelden and Steven Johnson will both be making their return to the track in Trans-Am and Touring Car Masters respectively, with Steve looking to win a fourth TCM Championship after securing a three-peat of series wins in 2017, 2018 and 2019 before his title defence was cut short by the coronavirus shutdown in 2020.
