Port Adelaide is considering sending Connor Rozee for surgery to address his foot issue.
The 21-year-old has been struggling with a plantar fascia injury since last season but his latest problem is believed to be slightly different.
Kane Cornes has revealed that the Power will make a call this weekend whether or not they will send the exciting third-year midfielder/forward for surgery.
.@PAFC considering surgery for Connor Rozee and will make a final call this weekend. Different issue to last year and not bone related, surgery is said to be minor. Huge blow on the eve of the season but they say he won't be out for long should they operate. @1629senSA

Cornes spoke with his brother and Power assistant Chad on SEN SA Breakfast this morning on whether Rozee may play against Adelaide in the AAMI Community Series this weekend.
“We know he’s been carrying the foot issue for a while now. The club have said they are considering perhaps operating,” said Kane.
“How’s he going and do you expect him to line up this weekend? How challenging has it been for him being sore throughout this pre-season?”
Chad replied: “I’m expecting him to line up on Sunday.
“He got through last week really well. I thought he was moving really well. He had that step back and the agility was there and he pulled up really well from it.
“I know he went to see a specialist in Sydney and it’s a bit of a different issue than it was last year, it’s more in the joint.
“It will depend how he pulls up after the game on Sunday, but definitely expecting him to play at this stage.
“It’s not great for him. It’s one of those lingering things.
“He wasn’t pulling up well from it last year but he has pulled up well in the games we’ve played so far in this pre-season.
“Fingers crossed.”
