Four'N Twenty sponsors iconic AFL fan favourites in 2021

2021-03-18T10:49+11:00

As an official partner of the AFL, Four’N Twenty will sponsor the 2021 Toyota AFL Season Mark of the Year, team up with Sports Entertainment Network to produce the official Four’N Twenty AFL Record, and welcome fans back with $2 pies at Marvel Stadium during rounds 1 and 2.

“At Four’N Twenty, we’re all about providing the ultimate match-day experience for AFL fans,” said Anand Surujpal, Patties Foods Group General Manager of Marketing and Innovation. “We are honoured to become the new brand champion of these legendary AFL traditions and connect with pie hungry fans all around the country - from pie night at grassroots footy to match day the mighty ‘G - as the AFL’s Official Pie.”

Four’N Twenty AFL Record
Four’N Twenty has teamed up with Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) becoming the naming rights partner of the AFL Record as the iconic publication returns to all grounds this season.

And the famous Four’N Twenty colours will adorn the fleet of AFL Record girls and guys outside venues, with a concourse takeover each game to mark the occasion.

The partnership brings two of the most famous brands in football’s history together – the much loved Four’N Twenty pie and the 109-year-old AFL Record magazine.

Craig Hutchison, CEO Sports Entertainment Network said the partnership was a natural fit between the two brands that have become synonymous with the AFL season.

“Purchasing an AFL Record as you enter a stadium and enjoying a Four’N Twenty Pie at half-time are two time-honoured rituals of our game so it’s a great honour to partner together this season,” he said.

“The AFL Record has not missed an edition since the very first one rolled off the presses in 1912. It has survived world wars, floods, the great depression and now COVID as an engrained fan favourite – just like Four’N Twenty pies.

“And the team of staff will proudly wear and display the Four’N Twenty colours in the season ahead. It will be especially emotional in places like Melbourne, where footy fans were starved of games, Records and pies in season 2020 during the pandemic.

“ We are proud to employ so many young Australians across Australia each weekend to deliver the AFL Record experience to fans and we thank Four’N Twenty, another great employer of Australians, for making that possible.

“We hope everyone enjoys flicking through their Record while experiencing the great pre-game and half time joy of a Four’N Twenty pie,” Hutchison added.

The Four’N Twenty AFL Record will be available at all AFL games throughout the football season in both print and digital format for fans to enjoy.

Four’N Twenty Mark of the Year
Four’N Twenty announced its multi-year partnership with the AFL last year. This season the iconic brand will become the naming sponsor of Mark of the Year.

A weekly fan favourite which celebrates the best speccies, hangers and screamers, culminates on Brownlow Medal night when Australia decides who will be up there with the likes of past greats, Jesaulenko and Capper - and the new generation, Liam Ryan and Jeremy Howe, to have their mark remembered in footy folklore.

$2 Four’N Twenty Pies at Marvel Stadium
Four’N Twenty will serve hot $2 pies at Marvel Stadium throughout rounds 1 and 2, to welcome fans back.

“AFL footy fans in Melbourne have been starved of men’s premiership matches since season 2019, so it’s only appropriate we offer them a taste of the time-honoured tradition for only $2,” said Kylie Rogers, AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial. “There’s nothing better than watching the games in the outer, footy record in one hand, and a Four’N Twenty pie in the other.”
