Andrew Voss believes Parramatta may possess the perfect weapon to get the better of the Melbourne Storm in their Round 2 clash on Thursday night.
Despite the Eels poor recent record against Craig Bellamy’s side, Voss pointed out one glaring weakness of the Storm’s that Parramatta could expose.
“I’m putting a bit of pressure on the Eels tonight,” Voss said on SEN 1170 Breakfast.
“But, I’m coming from a glass half empty and glass half full approach.
“The glass half empty approach is the fact they’re playing the Melbourne Storm.
“Of all of their NRL opponents, the Eels have their second worst record against the Storm.
“Just 14 victories from 38 starts – the Eels have lost nine of their last 12 against Melbourne, four of those have been by 24 points or more.
“Like last week against South Sydney, according to historical stats the Eels will find it very tough.
“However, looking at the glass half full, last week when the Rabbitohs held the ball, where did they exploit the Storm’s defence? It was on Melbourne’s right side with Reimis Smith and George Jennings.
“Where do Parramatta score the majority of their tries when their attack clicks? It’s their left side. The Eels left side opposes Melbourne’s right-side defence.
“If this time tomorrow we’re talking about a Parramatta win, I’m predicting a huge night for the flying fearsome Fijian.
“I think Maika Sivo could score two or maybe even a hat-trick of tries.
“How would that make you feel Eels fans? Lets see how it plays out.”
Parramatta will host the much-anticipated clash at Bankwest Stadium on Thursday night.
