North Melbourne defender Luke McDonald will miss Sunday’s Round 1 clash with Port Adelaide due to a quad injury.
Last year’s best and fairest winner failed a fitness test this morning and has been replaced in the side by former Richmond winger Connor Menadue.
Menadue played 39 games for the Tigers from 2015 to 2019 and will make his North Melbourne debut after being selected by the club at pick 18 in the 2021 rookie draft.
