Alex Rance’s football comeback has officially been locked in.
The 31-year-old former Tiger, who hasn’t played football at any level since announcing his retirement at the end of 2019, will head west to play several games of amateur footy for Swan Valley.
The club plays in the fourth tier of Western Australian amateur football and is coached by former Carlton player David Ellard.
Ellard, who is both a player and coach for the club, confirmed Rance was locked in to play two games later this year.
“I can confirm it’s all happening,” he said on Triple M.
“As long as (West Australian Premier) Marc McGowan doesn’t close the borders he’ll be over here and I’m looking forward to it, it’ll be a great day for the footy club.
“It’s been a long time talking (with him) about it and it’s great to put our jumpers on together."
Rance will feature for Swan Valley during their home games on May 1 and 8.
