The AFL Players’ Association’s 22 under 22 squad for the AFLW competition has been revealed, highlighting just how young some of the game’s top players are.
Stars like Maddy Prespakis, Georgia Patrikios, Monique Conti, Olivia Purcell, Ellie McKenzie, Chloe Molloy, Alyce Parker and Isabel Huntington headline the squad, with the final team decided by fan vote.
Carlton has the most representation in the squad, with five players, though all 14 teams have at least one player among the 40.
To be eligible for the squad, you had to have played five games this season, meaning someone like Geelong star Nina Morrison has missed out.
