St Kilda midfielder Dan Hannebery has suffered yet another injury setback.
Scans confirmed a low-grade strain to Hannebery’s right calf that will keep him sidelined for a further four weeks.
It continues Hannebery’s wretched run with injury.
His pre-season was interrupted by a calf complaint and is yet to feature so far in 2021.
The 30-year-old has played just 13 matches across two injury-ravaged seasons for the Saints. His lucrative five-year contract expires at the end of 2023.
Co-captain Jarryn Geary will undergo surgery to clear scar tissue from his injured right leg.
Geary’s rehabilitation will extend by a further two to three weeks.
Ruckman Rowan Marshall (foot) has been passed fit to play against West Coast on Saturday.
St Kilda host the Eagles at Marvel Stadium, needing a response after last week's 75-point thrashing to Essendon.
