North Melbourne midfielder Ben Cunnington has succesfully had his one-week rough conduction suspension overturned and is free to play this week.
Cunnington was sighted for a high bump on Adelaide midfielder Rory Laird in the second quarter of their clash on Sunday, with Match Review Officer Michael Christian judging the incident to be careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.
The Roos opted to challenge the suspension at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night and were successful in having the charge downgraded to low impact.
The veteran on-baller will now be free to play in North Melbourne’s clash against Geelong at GMHBA Stadium on Sunday, as the club searches for their first win this season.
