Midweek racing this afternoon is at Eagle Farm on a glorious Brisbane autumn day.
We’re heading for temps in the mid 20’s with not a cloud in the sky, needless to say the track is rated Good. Only smallish fields throughout the day suggesting value might be a little hard to come by.

Race 3, No.1 - REALITY
Only the two starts for this Chris Anderson trained 4yo & both have been very good behind horses who have gone on to win again at their next outings. Freshened up & although on paper looks to have drawn awkwardly he should be able to slide over & find a spot if not in front then likely outside the lead. From there he’ll prove extremely tough to beat!
Race 5, No.3 - VOLUNTEER
Chris Waller has a strong hand in this race with Kirkeby & this War Chant gelding who rattled home from well back in the field on debut after drawing a wide gate. Yes, he suffers a similar fate today however has an additional 250m plus the bigger track & longer run home to suit. Looks well placed to break through nice & early in his career.
Race 6, No.2 - GEORGIE'S PRIDE
Very speedy mare who resumes off a slight let-up here. Last time we saw her she was dominant leading throughout when stepping up to 1400m at this track leading throughout running her rivals into the ground. She should find the front here without too much trouble & it will take a good effort to run her down. Confident she’ll be winning once again.

Race 7, NO.2 - SOUL DANCER
Best form is over further than today’s 1200m trip however she’s first up & her overall form is better than most if not all her rivals. There looks enough tempo up front to give her a chance as she likes to settle rearward & come with a rush late. Hoping that’s the case this afternoon.
