Will Pucovski has been reportedly overlooked for a Cricket Australia contract.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Pucovski will not be on Cricket Australia’s 17-man contract list for 2021/2022.
Pucovski made 62 on Test debut against India before a shoulder dislocation in the field ended his summer.
The 23-year-old Victorian underwent shoulder surgery and has been ruled out for up to six months, but hopes to be fit in time for next summer’s Ashes.
Matthew Wade has also failed to make Cricket Australia’s contract list, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
Wade, 33, had a lean summer with the bat and was subsequently dropped for the cancelled tour of South Africa.
All-rounder Cameron Green is expected to earn his first national contract after making his Test debut and topping the Sheffield Shield run-scoring charts.
Cricket Australia slashed their contract list from 20 to 17 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
