Over 300 players have put their hands up for the AFL’s mid-season draft, with the window to nominate set to close on May 25th.

Numerous ex-AFL players have entered, headlined by former number one overall pick Paddy McCartin.

McCartin has been playing for Sydney’s VFL reserves this year and is currently serving a lengthy ban for striking.

Others who have nominated, per AFL Media’s Cal Twomey, include Darcy Lang (Geelong and Carlton), Ben Crocker (Collingwood and Adelaide), Wylie Buzza (Geelong and Port Adelaide), Luke Partington (West Coast), Josh Begley (Essendon), Harrison Macreadie (Carlton), Kym LeBois (Carlton), Declan Mountford (North Melbourne), Ryley Stoddart (Sydney), Toby Wooller (Brisbane), Michael Knoll (Sydney) and Ben Silvagni (Carlton).

Yet to nominate is the likely number one pick in Jacob Edwards.

The teenage key forward could reportedly go in the top 20 of the National Draft at the end of the season if he opts out mid-year.

North Melbourne currently holds the top pick in the mid-season draft, set to be held on June 2nd.
