SEN's Rolling All-Australian team Round 9 edition

2021-05-18T12:18+10:00

SEN’s Rolling All-Australian team returns for 2021!

This team will attempt to reward season-long performance, rather than jumping week to week based on standout individual efforts.

The team is based on who has stood out across the season.

Expect the squad of 22 to be in flux until players separate themselves from the pack.

The team will slowly take shape across the season, culminating in a final and settled All-Australian team after Round 23.

Sam Walsh, Christian Salem and Taylor Walker are incredibly unlucky to fall out of the Rolling All-Australian team this week.

The first two were impressive on the weekend, while Walker led the Coleman for most of the season.

However, tough calls need to be made in the team and we wanted another key defender, meaning Harris Andrews gets his call-up.

Cam Guthrie’s ultra-consistent season narrowly edges out Walsh’s similar production – his dominant performance against St Kilda tipped the scales.

Jack Darling steps up as the next key forward in line for Walker, who has had a quiet month and missed a few games.

Toby Greene will come out of the team next week given his four-week shoulder injury.
