Hawthorn ruckman Ned Reeves has received top votes in this week’s MEGT Australia Rookie of the Year award.
The tallest player in Hawks history has looked at home at AFL level in his first two games, playing as the side’s primary ruckman as Ben McEvoy moves to a periphery role.
Melbourne’s James Jordon received two votes, making him the outright leader for the award to this point of the season.
Collingwood debutant Trent Bianco round out the voting after a strong performance on debut.
Players are only eligible for the MEGT Australia Rookie of the Year award if they debuted this year. Hence the absence of Tom Green, Lachlan Sholl, etc.
