Thursday night football is set to continue.
The AFL is poised to lock in the much-loved timeslot for at least another two weeks in rounds 16 and 17.
The league has confirmed the fixture up until the end of Round 15, with an announcement on the next phase expected either late this week or early next week.
But SEN.com.au understands the AFL has already settled on the continuation of Thursday night football, which returned in Round 13 after a period in the wilderness post Round 5.
While the ongoing presence of Covid means just about everything is subject to change, the AFL has been determined to keep the fixture in the timeslots they have set, even if the venue has had to change.
Only the West Coast-Richmond game has been moved ā brought forward from this coming Thursday night to last Sunday night.
AFL football boss Steve Hocking professed his love for Thursday night football on Crunch Time on Saturday.
