West Coast captain Luke Shuey is nearing an AFL return after a dominant display in the WAFL on Saturday.
The star Eagle, who hasn’t played since injuring his hamstring in Round 3, collected 22 disposals, took seven marks and laid four tackles from about 80 minutes of game time against Subiaco.
It’s a welcome sight for seventh-placed West Coast who tackle the second-placed Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium next Sunday.

Shuey wasn’t the only Eagles-listed player to impress.
Alex Witherden (26 disposals, six marks and two tackles) Brendon Ah Chee (17, five, three), Bailey Williams (18, eight, four), Jarrod Brander (21, eight, two) and Nathan Vardy (two goals) all performed strongly.
West Coast defeated Subiaco by five points at Leederville Oval, their first win this WAFL season.
