2021-06-27T11:13+10:00

Former Adelaide coach Don Pyke is under consideration for Collingwood's senior coaching position, reports The Herald Sun.

Pyke, 52, coached the Crows for four seasons, guiding the club to a Grand Final in 2017, before stepping down from his post in September 2019.

Since leaving West Lakes with a winning percentage of 60.8 per cent, Pyke joined Sydney as an assistant coach late last year.

The Herald Sun understands that Pyke’s work as an assistant at the Swans has won glowing reviews at the Magpies.

Robert Harvey was appointed Collingwood’s caretaker coach for the rest of the season following Nathan Buckley's departure, losing his first game in charge to Fremantle by 12 points on Saturday.

The Magpies next face Harvey's old club St Kilda at the MCG next Sunday.
